When manufacturing our mills, some of the wood is discarded if it contains visual imperfections, especially after painting. The wood, whose intrinsic qualities are unaffected, is upcycled by blasting with ground nutshells to create a textured finish and protected with a coloured eco-friendly plant-based varnish. This process gives this manual salt mill its original look, with a surprisingly textured finish and a plant-based varnish.
